Pagsusuot ng body cameras ng mga pulis pinatitiyak ni Sen. Poe kay PNP Chief Eleazar
Hinikayat ni Senator Grace Poe si bagong PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar na isama sa kanyang unang ‘mission orders’ ang pagsunod ng pambansang pulisya sa utos ng Korte Suprema na pagsusuot ng mga pulis ng body cameras.
Kumpiyansa naman si Poe na sa pagkakakilala niya kay Eleazar ay ito na mismo ang gagawa ng mga hakbang para makasunod sa utos ng korte.
“PNP Chief Eleazar has been known to conduct inspections and make sure that his officers are performing to the best of their ability. I’m hopeful that the new Chief will push for the use of body and dash cameras to help make our police force more professional in the field,” sabi ng senadora.
Diin ni Poe apat na taon na nang maisama sa pondo ng PNP ang pagbili ng body cameras at ang unang batch ay ngayon taon lang dumating.
“Bago ang PNP Chief. Bago rin ang Chief Justice. So let the issue of body cams be the start of a good relationship between these two pillar institutions,” sabi ni Poe patukoy kay Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo na umupo noon lang Abril 5.
