1,758 pulis-QC, ipakakalat sa Labor Day

Ipakakalat ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) ang 1,758 pulis sa ilang lugar sa lungsod.

Layon nitong mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan, at masunod ang health protocols sa paggunita ng Labor Day o Araw ng mga Manggagawa, May 1.

“We will deploy additional police personnel to maintain peace and order in our city. We would also like to ask our residents to stay at home so we can avoid the spread of Covid-19,” pahayag ni QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra.

Naghanda ang QCPD at QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office ng medical and rescue assistance sakaling magkaroon ng lindol, sunog o ano pang kalamidad.

Samantala, magde-deploy din ang Task Force for Transport and Traffic Management ng 282 enforcers para sa traffic enforcement at umasiste sa social distancing at health protocols sa community pantries, cash assistance payout, at vaccination sites.

Ipinag-utos ito ni Mayor Joy Belmonte na tiyaking tumatalima sa IATF health protocols.

“May mga naka-deploy tayong enforcers para sa pagpapatupad ng social distancing at health protocols lalo na sa community pantries, ‘ayuda’ payout at sa vaccination sites. Of course, there will also be enforcers for traffic assistance,” ani TFTTM chief Dexter Cardenas.

Hinikayat naman ni Belmonte ang mga residente na iwasang lumabas ng bahay kung hindi kailangan.

“Nananawagan po ako sa ating mga residente na kung maaari manatili na lang po kayo sa inyong mga bahay kung wala namang mahalagang pupuntahan. Nasa ilalim pa rin tayo ng MECQ at ipinagbabawal pa rin ang mass gathering ayon sa IATF guidelines,” Mayor Belmonte said.

Magde-deploy din ng dagdag na tauhan mula sa law and order cluster, 100 personnel mula sa Department of Public Order and Safety, Market Development and Administration Department, Task Force Disiplina, at Barangay Public Safety Officers mula sa iba’t ibang barangay.
