Hindi lahat ng LGUs tatanggap ng Sputnik V vaccines, sabi ng FDA

Malaki ang posibilidad na hindi lahat ng mga lokal na pamahalaan ay mabibigyan ng Sputnik V vaccine.

Sinabi ito ni Food and Drug Administration Dir. Gen. Eric Domingo sa katuwiran niya na ang bakuna na magmumula sa Russia  ay nangangailangan ng storage requirement na -18 degrees pababa sa sub-zero facility.

“That really is an issue. That means this Sputnik vaccine is probably going to go to the big city centers or where they have hospitals and they have storage facilities that will be able to hold the minus 18 degrees centigrade vaccines,” aniya.

Una na rin sinabi ni DOH spokesperson Ma. Rosario Vergeire na ang Sputnik V ay ipamamahagi sa urbanized areas, tulad ng Metro Manila, na may kapasidad na magtago ng mga bakuna sa ‘ultra cold temperatures.’

Naantala naman ang dapat na pagdating sa Pilipinas ng paunang 15,000 doses ng Sputnik V dahil walang direct flight sa Pilipinas at Russia.

Sinasabi na ang bakuna na ginawa sa Gamaleya Research Institute ay may efficacy rate na 91.6 percent sa symptomatic COVID 19 at 100 percent sa moderate at severe cases.
