Panibagong diplomatic protests vs China, ipinakasa ni Locsin

Ipinag-utos ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. ang pagsasampa ng panibagong diplomatic protest laban sa China.

Ang hakbang ay nag-ugat sa pahayag ni Chinese Foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin sa Philippine Coast Guard na ihinto ang pagsasagawa ng ‘maritime drills’ sa West Philippine Sea.

“They can say what they want from the Chinese mainland; we continue to assert from our waters by right of international law that we won in The Hague. But we must not fail to protest, @DFAPHL, have we fired off a diplomatic protest? Do it now,” ang tweet ni Locsin.

Kamakalawa, sinabi ni Wang na dapat nang itigil ng PCG ang mga aktibidad na aniya ay nagpapa-komplikado at nagpapalala sa sitwasyon.

Iginiit nito na bahagi ng teritoryo ng China ang Spratlys kasama na ang Scarborough Shoal.

Kamakailan, ipinadala ng PCG ang BRP Malapascua at BRP Francisco Dagohoy sa Pagasa Island, na bahagi ng Palawan, para magsagawa ng maritime exercises.
