P1.5-M halaga ng smuggled na pork products, nakumpiska sa Maynila

Nakumpiska ng Veterinary Inspection Board (VIB) ang P1.5 milyong halaga ng smuggled pork products sa Tondo, Maynila araw ng Martes.

Ayon kay VIB Director Nick Santos, nasabat ang 302 kahon ng imported pork belly sa bahay ng isang Jonabel Jalimao Factor sa bahagi ng J. Abad Santos bandang 10:00 ng umaga.

Nagmula ang mga pork product sa Germany.

Sinabi ni Santos na mayroong cold storage sa bahay ni Factor kung saan nakasilid ang 6,040 kilo ng smuggled na produkto.

Si Factor aniya ay may business name na Gou Ren han Food products.

Ngunit nang iberipika, sinabi ni Bureau of Permits Director Levi Facundo na walang record ang naturang business name sa lungsod.

“Wala yung name na yan. Walang record sa name na Gou Ren Han or the name of wife,” ayon kay Facundo at aniya pa, “even home business should get a permit.”

Sa ngayon, nakikipag-ugnayan na si Facundo sa VIB para sa magiging aksyon sa insidente.
