Sec. Locsin, iminungkahi ang pagpapatupad ng travel ban sa India

Iminungkahi ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. sa Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) na magpatupad ng travel ban sa India.

Mabilis ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa India kasabay ng kakulangan sa suplay ng oxygen.

“I have suggested to the IATF that a travel ban be imposed on all our good friends in the entire Indian subcontinent,” pahayag ng kalihim sa kaniyang Twitter account.

Paliwanag ng kalihim, ito ay para sa kaligtasan ng lahat.

“We’ll be able to be together again and we can recall the time when we had to be apart to live,” dagdag ng kalihim.

Noong April 23, 2021 naitala sa India ang highest daily tally ng COVID-19 cases sa buong mundo kung saan umabot sa 314,835.
