Pagpapalawak ng Angat River bridge sa Bulacan, tapos na

Nakumpleto na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang pagpapalawak ng 2.22 kilometer section ng Plaridel Bypass Road sa Bulacan.

Mula sa dalawang lane, mayroon nang apat na lane sa nasabing tulay.

Ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, kabilang sa natapos ang karagdagang dalawang lane bridge parallel sa 1.12 kilometrong Angat Bridge, isa sa pinakamahabang tulay sa Pilipinas.

Isa ang Plaridel Bypass Road Project sa mga itinuturing na “game-changing infrastructure flagship projects” ng gobyerno para mabawasan ang travel time.

Nagsagawa ng final inspection si Villar, kasama si Undersecretary for UPMO Operations Emil Sadain at UPMO RMC 1 Project Managers Benjamin Bautista at Basilio Elumba, sa 2.22 kilometer widened section na sakop ng contract package (CP) 3 ng Arterial Road Bypass Project (ARBP) Phase 3, araw ng Miyerukules.

Kasama sa ARBP-Phase 3 ang pagpapalawak mula sa dalawang lane para maging apat na lane ang buong 24.61-kilometer bypass road mula NLEX Sa Balagtas hanggang San Rafael, Bulacan.

Sa pamamagitan nito, inaasahang maiibsan ang bigat ng trapiko sa Pan-Philippine Highway (PPH).
