EO 128, dapat bigyan muna ng tsansa ng mga senador ayon sa Malakanyang
Umaapela si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga senador na bigyan muna ng tsansa ang inilabas na Executive Order 128 na nagtataaas ng limit sa pag-aangkat ng karneng baboy.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, layunin lamang ng EO ng Pangulo na tugunan ang kakapusan ng suplay ng karneng baboy dahil sa African Swine Fever.
Nakasaad sa EO na taasan ng 350,000 metriko tonelada ang minimum access volume (MAV) sa pag-angkat ng karneng baboy.
“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is asking the esteemed members of the Senate to give Executive Order No. 128 a chance and consider its intended effects, which include addressing the shortage in swine meat, stabilizing the price of pork meat, and minimizing inflation rate, as mentioned by the Department of Agriculture and the President’s Economic Team,” pahayag ni Roque.
Mas makabubuti aniyang tingnan ulit ang EO matapos ang dalawang buwan.
“Let us revisit the EO in two months to assess whether the aforesaid intended effects have been realized/met, ” pahayag ni Roque.
Una rito, kinuwestyun ng mga senador ang EO sa pangambang mamamatay ang industriya ng mga lokal na magbababoy.
“We are one with the Senate in ensuring the recovery of the local swine industry and the attainment of sufficient domestic pork production,” pahayag ni Roque.
