Sen. Joel Villanueva: Sana matuto ang gobyerno sa community pantries
Umaasa si Senator Joel Villanueva na magsilbing inspirasyon ang mga nagsusulputang ‘community pantry’ sa gobyerno para bilisan ang pagbibigay tulong sa mamamayan.
Dahil sa mga pagkilos na ng mga pribadong indibiduwal, ayon kay Villanueva, nakikita ang kahinaan ng gobyerno sa pagbibigay tulong.
Umaasa si Villanueva na may matutuhan ang pampublikong sektor sa panibagong mukha ng bayanihan sa ibat-ibang komunidad.
Dagdag pa nito dapat din pansinin na kasabay nang pagtutulungan sa mga pamayanan ay ang panawagan din sa gobyerno na kumilos para maiwasan ang malawakang kagutuman.
“This is a way of responding to the urgent call of communities for help. But to survive the pandemic, we need the government to be more precise in its action. I hope that the community pantries continue to inspire us. I hope it also inspires the government to act fast,” sabi pa ni Villanueva.
