Oras na makumpleto, inaasahang maseserbisyuhan ng nasabing paliparan ang dalawang milyong pasahero kada taon.
Makatutulong ang proyekto upang mapalakas ang air traffic at tourist arrivals sa Bicol region.
Para kay Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, ang pagtatapos ang major transport project ay isang “powerful statement” ng pagnanais ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na makita ang pagbabago sa rehiyon.
