Bilang ng napauwing overseas Filipinos sa bansa, halos 400,000 na

Tuloy pa rin ang repatriation efforts ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa gitna ng pandemya dahil sa COVID-19.

Sa huling tala hanggang April 17, 2021, umabot sa 399,919 overseas Filipinos ang napauwi sa repatriation efforts ng kagawaran.

Sa nasabing bilang, 105,403 ang seafarers habang 294,516 naman ang land-based overseas Filipinos.

Kabilang sa mga nakauwing overseas Filipino noong nakaraang linggo ang medical repat mula sa Spain, undocumented OFWs mula China, distressed OFWs sa Georgia at North Macedonia.

Mayroon ding deportees mula sa USA at TIP victims mula Syria.

Siniguro ng kagawaran na patuloy ang kanilang pagtulong sa mga Filipino na stranded sa ibang bansa dahil sa COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Matatandaang nagsimula ang repatriation efforts ng kagawaran noong Pebrero ng taong 2020.
