P1.2 bilyong halaga ng taklobo nasamsam sa Palawan

Aabot sa P1.2 bilyon na halaga ng fossilized giant clam shells o taklobo ang nasamsam ng Philippine Coast guard sa Sitio Green island, Barangay Tumarbong, Roxas, Palawan.

Ayon kay PCG District Palawan Commander, Commodore Genito Basilio, apat na suspek din ang naaresto sa naturang operasyon.

Nakilala ang mga suspek na sina Rey Cuyos, 54 anyos, Rodolfo Rabesa, 48 anyos, Julius Molejoa, 47 anyos at Erwin Miagao, 40 anyos.

Inaresto ang apat dahil sa paglabag sa Republic Act 9147 o Wildlife resources Conservation and Protection Act.

Dinala na ang apat na suspek sa Palawan Council for Sustainable Development para sa inquest proceedings at pagsasampa ng kaukulang kaso.
