National Vaccination Program, nais maimbestigahan sa Senado
Hinikayat ni Senator Leila de Lima ang Kongreso na alamin ang itinatakbo na ng pagpapatupad ng National COVID-19 Vaccination Program.
Layon ng inihaing Senate Resolution No. 700 ni de Lima na mapaigsi o mapabilis ang pagbili ng bakuna ng pribadong sektor na gagawin sa pamamagitan ng tripartite agreement kasama ang gobyerno at ang vaccine manufacturer.
“Unless there is a conscious effort to get to the root of the problem and change the tripartite agreements that cause bottlenecks and disincentivizes private sector participation, and allow the private sector to directly import vaccines without the unnecessary red tape, the country will continue to fall short of its vaccination procurement targets for 2021 and beyond,” sabi ng senadora.
Aniya, handa namang tumulong ang pribadong sektor para mapabilis ang pagbili ng mga bakuna at diin niya, hindi na dapat magmistulang hadlang ang gobyerno sa mga balakin ng mga pribadong kompaniya.
Giit niya, sa mabagal na pagkilos ng gobyerno, tila nababalewala ang mga pagsusumikap na makadiskubre at makagawa ng bakuna kontra COVID-19 sa pinakamabilis na panahon.
