Subic mega facility para sa COVID-19 treatment at monitoring, inilunsad
Inilunsad na ang bagong treatment at monitoring facility para sa mga pasyente na apektado ng COVID-19 sa Subic, araw ng Miyerkules.
Ang bagong pasilidad ay nasa dating Cubi Hospital complex sa bahagi ng Ilanin Forest East sa Subic.
Makatutulong ang “We Heal As One Center” upang madagdagan ang healthcare system at ma-accommodate ng mga ospital sa Metro Manila ang mga pasyente na may medium hanggang severe symptoms.
Ang COVID-19 wellness center at temporary treatment and monitoring facility ay isang inter-agency cooperation project ng Department of Health (DOH), Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH), at Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Sinabi ni BCDA President Vince Dizon na ang “We Heal As One Center” ay may 500-bed capacity, dagdag pa ang 100 beds na magiging available sa ospital para sa mga pasyente na may malalang sintomas.
Aniya pa, magbebenepisyo sa naturang pasilidad ang mga pasyente hindi lamang sa Subic Bay at Central Luzon, kundi maging ang mga pasyente sa Maynila.
“In fact, I’ve already received calls from a lot of local government units that wanted to know if they can bring patients here,” ani Dizon.
Nagpahayag naman si SBMA Chairman and Administrator Wilma Eisma ng paglilipat ng 34 hospital beds mula sa itinayong care and isolation facility ng SBMA sa Subic Gym noong nakaraang taon.
“This will be SBMA’s contribution to this national effort,” pahayag ni Eisma at aniya pa, “Tulong-tulong tayo rito (We will help each other in this project).”
Una rito, dinepensahan ni Eisma ang mega isolation facility project matapos itong katakutan ng ilang Subic stakeholders na baka mas maraming residente at empleyado ang ma-expose sa COVID-19.
Tiniyak ng SBMA chief na sisiguraduhin ang kaligtasan ng lahat at mahigpit na susundin ang health protocols.
Samantala, sang-ayon naman si Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce (SBFCC) president Benjamin Antonio III na makapagbibigay ng kaaya-ayang kapaligiran ang lokasyon ng pasilidad para sa mga kailangang ma-isolate dahil sa nakakahawang sakit.
“Moreover, I know that the stakeholders of the Subic Bay Freeport would take this as an opportunity to provide help to our countrymen. We cannot disconnect ourselves from their sufferings. We persistently speak of compassion—now is the chance to display it,” dagdag pa nito.
