P50-M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo, sinira ng BOC

Winasak ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Zamboanga ang P50 milyong halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo sa isang customs-rented warehouse sa bahagi ng Barangay Baliwasan, Zamboanga City.

Kasama ang representante ng iba’t ibang partner agencies, sinira ang humigit-kumulang 1,278 master cases at 513 reams ng sigarilyo.

Nakumpiska ang mga kontrabando sa magkakahiwalay na anti-smuggling operations simula noong December 2020.

Sinira ang mga sigarilyo gamit ang payloader equipment, binabad sa gamit nang langis para hindi ma-recycle, binuhusan ng tubig at saka itinapon sa sanitary landfill Sa Barangay Salaan.

Ito ang unang condemnation activity ng Port of Zamboanga sa taong 2021.

Nagparating naman ng pasasalamat si District Collector Segundo Sigmundfreud Barte Jr. sa suporta at inter-agency coordination at kanilang partner agencies.
