Pagdedma ni Pangulong Duterte sa pambu-bully sa mga mangingisda, media pinuna

Binatikos ni Senator Leila de Lima si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa tila kakulangan ng malasakit sa mga mangingisdang Filipino at mamamahayag na dumanas ng harassment sa Chinese vessels sa West Philippine Sea.

Puna ito ng senadora sa pagtanggi ng Malakanyang na magbigay ng pahayag ukol sa pagtaboy at paghabol ng Chinese missile vessels sa bangka na may sakay na ABS-CBN TV crew noong Abril 8 malapit sa Ayungin Shoal.

“90 nautical miles from our mainland lies an armada of Chinese ships that are there not to fish, or to take refuge from storms, but to simply chase off or attack any vessel that dare to get close to their stolen territory. Despite this, the Duterte administration does not appear alarmed, much less concern enough to do something to address such,” sabi nito.

Nang hingian ng komento si Presidential spokesman Harry Roque ukol sa insidente, itinuro nito ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at Department of National Defense (DND) para sa reaksyon.

Binanggit din ni de Lima ang tila paninisi pa ng AFP sa TV news crew.

“Instead of showing concern to the media, considering that this is not the first time that this kind of incident occurred, the AFP even blamed them for doing their job to cover the real time invasion happening at our seas,” himutok pa ng senadora.
