Korean swindler, arestado sa Las Piñas

Naaresto ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang isang puganteng Korean national na wanted sa Seoul dahil sa swindling.

Ayon kay Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, nahuli ng mga operatiba ng BI Fugitive Search Unit si Kim Dong Woo, 49-anyos, sa Las Piñas City noong Lunes, April 12.

Ayon naman kay BI FSU Chief Bobby Raquepo, isa nang undocumented alien si Kim matapos bawiin ng South Korean government ang pasaporte nito.

Napag-alamang wanted na si Kim sa South Korea simula nang lumipad patungon Pilipinas noong February 2018 upang takasan ang kinakaharap na kaso.

“The Bureau recently received information about his crimes and was informed that his passport is no longer valid, hence the Commissioner issued a Mission Order for his arrest so he may be sent back to his home to be prosecuted,” ani Raquepo.

Nakatakdang ipa-deport si Kim sa Korea para harapin ang mga nakasampang kaso laban sa kanya.

Sa ngayon, nakakulong ang dayuhan sa BI detention facility sa Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City habang hinihintay ang deportation nito.

Sinabi pa ni Morente na isasama na rin ang pangalan ng dayuhan sa immigration blacklist upang hindi na muling makapasok ng Pilipinas.
