Mga fake bookings sa mga delivery riders pinaiimbestigahan sa NBI
Pinakikilos ni Deputy Speaker Bernadette Herrera ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) kaugnay sa mga napaulat na karahasan at fake bookings sa mga delivery riders.
Ayon kay Herrera na siyang may-akda ng Magna Carta of E-Commerce Delivery Personnel sa Kamara, dapat na maimbestigahan ng NBI ang sunud-sunod na insidente ng fake booking sa mga delivery riders gayundin ang paggamit sa “identity” ng ilang mga biktima na hindi naman pala umoorder o nagpapadeliver.
Giit ng kongresista, posibleng hindi lamang ito ang mga kaso ng fake deliveries at maaaring marami na ang nabibiktima na hindi lamang naiuulat.
Umapela din si Herrera sa National Privacy Commission (NPC) at sa Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) na makipagtulungan sa imbestigasyon ng NBI lalo na pagdating sa kanilang technical expertise.
Hinikayat din ng mambabatas ang Philippine National Police (PNP) na silipin ang mga kaso kaugnay sa mga insidente ng harassment sa mga delivery riders tulad sa San Jose del Monte, Bulacan at ang pagpatay ng isang sekyu sa isang food delivery personnel sa Iloilo.
