Nakumpleto na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang konstruksyon ng apat pang healthcare facilities sa Capiz.
Layon nitong makapagbigay ng dagdag ng suporta sa paglaban ng bansa sa COVID-19 pandemic.
Ayon kay DPWH Secretary at Isolation Czar Mark Villar, kasama sa mga bagong pasilidad ang isolation/quarantine facility at off-site dormitory sa Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital sa Roxas City; off-site dormitory sa Bailan District Hospital sa Pontevedra; at ginawang COVID-19 facility ang Roxas City Covered Gymnasium.
Base sa ulat mula kay Regional Office 6 Director Lea Delfinado, ang 16-room isolation/quarantine facility ay may air-conditioner, hiwalay na comfort rooms, at beddings sa Roxas City.
Mayroon din itong air-conditioned male at female nurse quarters, kung saan bawat kwarto ay may dalawang double-deck beds at comfort room; utility/electrical room; sanitation area; water tank; generator/distribution transformer; at septic tank.
Sa bahagi naman ng off-site dormitories sa Pontevedra, mayroon itong 16 air-conditioned-rooms na may hiwalay na comfort rooms at isang double-deck bed; air-conditioned dining area at living area, laundry area, kitchen, water tank, utility/electrical room, sanitation area, generator at septic tank.
Samantala, ginawa naman ang Roxas City Covered Gym na 60-room facility na may hiwa-hiwalay na kama sa bawat cubicle. Mayroon din itong male at female restrooms, dalawang nurse stations at disinfecting area.
Naiturn-over na ang healthcare facilities kay Capiz Provincial Governor Esteban Evan Contreras.
“These facilities will provide a safer space to accommodate COVID-19 patients as they undergo isolation and treatment, as well provide a more comfortable space to health workers performing key roles during this pandemic,” pahayag ni Delfinado.
