Ang Ivermectin ay ginagamit bilang anti-parasitic drug.
Ayon kay FDA director general Eric Domingo, walang conclusive data na hawak ang kanilang tanggapan para sabihing epektibo ang Ivermectin kontra COVID-19.
Ginawa ni Domingo ang pahayag matapos ianunsyo ni Anakalusugan party-list Rep. Mike Defensor na mamahagi siya ng Ivermectin sa mga residente sa Quezon City.
Ayon pa kay Domingo, walang nakarehistro na Ivermectin drugs para sa human consumption sa Pilipinas.
