DOLE: Wanted COVID-19 contact tracers

Naghahanap ang Department of Labor and Employment(DOLE) ng mga contact tracers bilang ambag sa pagsusumikap ng gobyerno na mapigilan ang pagsirit ng COVID 19 cases sa Metro Manila at mga katabing lalawigan.

Sinabi ni Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III na sila ang magpapasuweldo sa pamamagitan ng kanilang Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced (TUPAD) Workers Program.

Nabanggit niya ito sa pulong ng Inter Agency Task Force nang marinig si DILG Usec. Epimaco Densing na nagsabing may isyu sila sa pondo para makakuha pa ng karagdagang contact tracers.

Paliwanag ni Bello sa ilalim ng  naturang programa, maari silang magbigay ng pagkakakitaan sa mga nawalan ng trabaho mula 10 hanggang 30 araw.

Aniya kailangan lang sanayin ng LGUs ang mga nais maging contact tracer at bukod sa nakapagbigay na ng trabaho ay magagawa pang matunton ang mga posibleng nagtataglay ng nakakamatay na sakit.

“We will leave it (training) to the better judgement of the DILG in selecting the worker-beneficiaries as contact tracers. It will depend on the number of contact tracers each LGU will need. We have sufficient budget for that,” sabi ng kalihim.
