Napauwing overseas Filipinos sa bansa, nasa 397,000 na – DFA

Tuloy pa rin ang repatriation efforts ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa gitna ng pandemya dahil sa COVID-19.

Sa huling tala hanggang March 27, 2021, umabot sa 397,468 overseas Filipinos ang napauwi sa repatriation efforts ng kagawaran.

Sa nasabing bilang, 105,172 ang seafarers habang 292,296 naman ang land-based overseas Filipinos.

Sa nagdaang linggo, 3,363 overseas Filipinos ang nakabalik ng Pilipinas.

Kabilang dito ang undocumented overseas Filipinos sa Russia at Malaysia.

May medical repat din mula Papua New Guinea at Brazil.

Napauwi na rin ng Pilipinas ang 10 trafficking-in-persons victims sa Syria.

Siniguro ng kagawaran na patuloy ang kanilang pagtulong sa mga Filipino na stranded sa ibang bansa dahil sa COVID-19 travel restrictions.
