‘Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa & Summer Vacation 2021’ ikinasa ng PCG
Naka-heightened alert status na ngayon ang Philippine Coast Guard bilang paghahanda sa paggunita ng Semana Santa at summer vacation.
Ayon sa pahayag ng PCG, ikinasa na ang ‘Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa & Summer Vacation 2021.’
Sa naturang programa, inatasan ni PCG Commandant Admiral George Ursabia Jr. ang lahat ng tanggapan ng PCG na magdagdag ng K9 units, medical teams, at deployable response groups (DRGs) sa lahat ng malalalaking daungan at mga pier para masiguro ang kaligtasan ng mga pasahero.
Pinaghahandaan din ng PCG ang pag-uwi ng mga returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), authorized persons outside residence (APORs), at iba pang essential na pasahero.
Mahigpit rin babantayan ng PCG ang mga pasahero at mga tauhan ng barko kung nasusunod ang ipinapatupad na minimum health protocols laban sa COVID-19.
Ipinag-utos na rin ni Admiral Ursabia ang pagdaragdag ng harbor patrollers at vessel inspectors para mahigpit na ipatupad ang maritime security at maritime safety measure sa pakikipagtulungan ng local government units at iba pang ahenisya ng pamahalaan.
Bukod sa pagpapanatili ng health and safety protocols, 24/7 naka-antabay ang mga lifeguards, rescue equipment, at first aid facilities sa mga major tourist destinations.
