Base sa anunsiyo ng SC Public Information Office, ito ay bunsod ng pagtuloy na pagtaas ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa Metro Manila at mga katabing lalawigan.
Sakop din nito ang Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Court of Tax Appeals, Sandiganbayan at trial courts.
Sinimulang isara ang mga korte bandang 2:00, Huwebes ng hapon (March 25), at tatagal hanggang sa Biyernes (March 26).
Gayunman, magiging bukas pa rin ang court at court offices sa publiko sa pamamagitan ng hotlines at email addresses na makikita sa website ng SC.
“All hearings in the NCJR Courts and nearby provinces are suspended during the period, except on urgent matters, such as but not limited to petitions, motions and pleadings in relation to bail and habeas corpus, promulgation of judgements of acquittals, reliefs for those who may be arrested and detained during this period, and other related actions that may be filed in relation to measures imposed at the local or national levels to address the declared health emergency,” saad pa sa abiso.
