Lockdown makakatulong pero dapat time-bound – Sen. Ping Lacson
Naniniwala si Senator Panfilo Lacson na makakatulong sa pagkalat pa ng COVID-19 ang pagpapatupad ng ECQ-type lockdowns sa mga lugar na dumadami ang nagtataglay ng sakit.
Ngunit, ayon sa senador, kailangang may petsa kailan matatapos ang lockdown para naman maprotektahan ang mga naapektuhang negosyo.
“The time-bound nature will allow the business sector to “plan in advance their way forward and make adjustments in their business activities like production, marketing and the like,” paliwanag niya at dagdag nito; “Hindi pwedeng lockdown na open-ended. Mamamatay ang ekonomiya natin.”
Dapat din aniyang malaking bulto sa vaccine rollout ay ikasa sa mga lugar na may matataas na kaso ng COVID-19.
“Prevention and cure should go hand in hand. This is where continuing assessment and corresponding adjustments in the plan already laid out should be made depending on the prevailing needs and priorities on the ground,” sabi pa ng senador.
