Sa inilabas na pahayag, inihayag ng Department of Health (DOH) at Food and Drug Administration (FDA) na agad nagsagawa ng imbestigasyon ang regional at national AEFI committees sa kaso.
Matapos makumpleto ang imbestigasyon, sinabi ng NAEFIC at RAEFIC na COVID-19 mismo ang naging sanhi ng pagpanaw ng health worker at hindi COVID-19 vaccine.
“COVID-19 vaccines cannot cause COVID-19,” pahayag nito.
Iginiit ng DOH at FDA na hindi lamang bakuna ang solusyon upang mahinto ang nararanasang pandemya.
“Even with vaccines, people must continue with the important prevention measures already in place: wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, washing hands frequently, and avoiding crowded places and settings,” saad pa nito.
Hinikayat ng DOH at FDA ang lahat ng healthcare workers na magpabakuna na, lalo’t tumataaas ang kaso ng nakakamatay na sakit.
“Millions of people around the world have received this vaccine, and evidence continues to show that the benefit of vaccination outweighs the risk of severe disease and death caused by COVID-19,” paliwanag pa nito.
