Tiniyak ng state-run broadcaster na People’s Television Network o PTV 4 na may mananagot sa palpak na Twitter post kung saan naisama sa hashtag ang #DutertePalpak.
Ipinag-utos kasi ng Pangulo ang pamimigay ng libreng face mask sa mga Filipino na walang pera para ipangbili.
Pero sa halip na pangalan ng pangulo, nailagay sa tweet ang hashtag na #DutertePalpak.
Sa pahayag ng PTV, bahagi ng “autocorrecting systems” ang pagkakalagay ng hashtag.
“The erroneous message that was inadvertently posted by the PTV New Media was the result of autocorrecting systems in the text entry phase and a failure to adequately review and screen the message that got posted,” pahayag ng PTV.
Inaako naman ng PTV ang responsabilidad sa pagkakamali.
“PTV New Media deeply regrets the error and takes full responsibility for the oversight,” pahayag ng PTV.
Tiniyak ng PTV na may disciplinary action na gagawin ang kanilang hanay.
“The management will certainly institute disciplinary actions against members of the social media team who are behind the erroneous posting,” pahayag ng PTV.
