Nahuli ng mga operatiba ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) arrested ang isang Amerikanong pugante sa Davao City.
Sanib-pwersa ang BI Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) at BI Mindanao Task Group (MITG) sa operasyon para mahuli ang Amerikanong si Richard Edward Vukelic, 57-anyos.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, agad inilabas ang mission order matapos mapag-alaman ang mga kaso ng dayuhan.
Sinabi naman ni BI MITG Head Melody Gonzales at BI FSU Chief Bobby Raquepo na isang linggong isinailalim si Vukelic sa surveillance, katuwang ang National Bureau of Investigation Region 11.
“When we confirmed that it was indeed him, we immediately implemented his arrest,” pahayag ni Gonzales.
Sa ngayon, nakakulong ang dayuhan sa BI detention facility sa Davao habang hinihintay ang kaniyang deportation.
