PCG, magpapatayo ng mga istasyon sa Calayan Island

Nakatakdang magpatayo ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ng mga istasyon sa Calayan Island sa probinsya ng Cagayan.

Kasunod ito ng pagpirma ng deed of donation nina PCG Commandant Admiral George Ursabia Jr. at Calayan Island Mayor Joseph Llopis.

Sinabi ng PCG na sa pamamagitan nito, mapapaigting ang law enforcement, maritime security, maritime safety, maritime search and rescue, at marine environmental protection sa Hilagang bahagi ng Luzon at West Philippine Sea.

Ang itatayong establisyimento ng Coast Guard stations o sub-stations ay may lawak na 1,000-square meters.

Sa signing ceremony, nagparating ng pasasalamat si Ursabia sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Calayan Island para sa pagsuporta sa PCG.
