Pagsigla ng ekonomiya nakadepende sa pagpapabakuna ng mga manggagawa sabi ni Sen. Joel Villanueva
Naniniwala si Senator Joel Villanueva na para muling sumigla ang ekonomiya at maibalik ang mga trabaho kailangan na mabakunahan ang mga manggagawa.
Tinawag sila na ‘economic frontliners’ ni Villanueva kayat nararapat lang din na gawin silang prayoridad sa ikinakasang vaccine rollout ng gobyerno.
“Before our workers can roll up their sleeves to work, they must roll them up to get their shots,” sabi ng senador.
Diin pa ni Villanueva mas makakatipid ang gobyerno kung mababakunahan ang mga manggagawa sa halip na bigyan sila ng ayuda.
“No matter how you compute it, what is to be injected in their arms is cheaper than any cash assistance that the government may want to put in their pockets. The help our workers need from our government is not money that can tide them over a week, but gainful employment and livelihood that can only come after they have been vaccinated,” diin pa ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Labor.
Noong Enero, tumaas sa 8.7 percent ang unemployment rate sa bansa base sa datos mula sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), na ayon sa mga eksperto ay pagpapakita na mabagal ang nagiging pagsigla ng ekonomiya ng bansa.
