Napauwing overseas Filipinos sa bansa, higit 380,000 na – DFA
Tuloy pa rin ang repatriation efforts ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa gitna ng pandemya dahil sa COVID-19.
Sa huling tala hanggang March 6, 2021, umabot sa 380,649 overseas Filipinos ang napauwi sa repatriation efforts ng kagawaran.
Sa nasabing bilang, 102,146 ang seafarers habang 278,503 naman ang land-based overseas Filipinos.
Sa nagdaang linggo, 7,907 overseas Filipinos ang nakabalik ng Pilipinas.
Pinangunahan din ng kagawaran ang IOM – coordinated medical repat mula sa the Netherlands noong March 5.
Siniguro ng kagawaran na patuloy ang kanilang pagtulong sa mga Filipino na stranded sa ibang bansa dahil sa COVID-19 travel restrictions.
