Modular hospital para sa COVID treatment, itinayo ng DPWH
Patuloy ang pagtatayo ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ng quarantine at temporary treatment, at monitoring facilities sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Ayon kay DPWH Secretary at Isolation Czar Mark Villar, mas marami pang pasyente ang maaaring maserbisyuhan ng Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital & Sanitarium kasunod ng pagtatapos ng konstruksyon ng modular fabricated hospital na may 22 kwarto.
Ang karagdagang pasilidad ay para sa mga pasyente na apektado ng COVID-19 sa naturang ospital sa bahagi ng Tala, Caloocan City.
Sa ulat kay Villar, sinabi ni Undersecretary at pinuno ng DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local/National Health Facility Emil Sadain na nai-turnover na ang mga susi ng modular hospital kay Dr. Alfonso Victorino Famaran, Medical Center Chief ng Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital & Sanitarium, araw ng Martes, March 9.
Maliban dito, nai-turnover na rin ng kagawaran ang isang unit ng off-site dormitory na may 16 kwarto para sa medical personnel na nakatalaga para sa health facility operations.
Nagpasalamat naman si Dr. Famaran kay Villar para sa ginawang preparasyon ng DPWH Task Force bago pa man tumaas ang kaso ng nakakahawang sakit sa nasabing ospital.
Base sa pinakahuling monitoring report ng DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Local/National Health Facility, nakapagtayo na ang kagawaran ng 720 COVID-19 facilities na may quarantine/isolation facilities at off-site dormitories na may 26,099 total bed capacity sa buong bansa.
Sa nasabing bilang, 604 pasilidad na may 22,352 beds ang nakumpleto hanggang March 8, 2021.
