DOTr, ipinag-utos ang istriktong implementasyon ng health protocols sa public transport vehicles at terminals

Ipinag-utos ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) ang istriktong implementasyon ng health protocols sa loob ng public transport vehicles at mga terminal sa buong bansa.

Ibinaba ni DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade ang direktiba sa lahat ng transport sectors na tiyaking istrikto itong naipatutupad ng mga nakatalagang enforcer at transport marshal.

“The safety of commuters is paramount. I am ordering all transport sectors to strictly enforce the health and safety protocols in order to help prevent the spread of Covid,” pahayag ng kalihim.

Ipinag-utos ni Tugade sa enforcers mula sa Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), at train marshalls na siguruhing nasusunod ang social distancing sa loob ng public transport vehicles at transport terminals.

Dapat din aniyang matutukan na nakasuot ng face masks at face shields ang lahat ng commuter na papasok sa mga terminal.

Giit ni Tugade, hindi dapat magpakampante sa lahat dahil nandiyan pa rin ang COVID-19.

Maliban dito, sinabi rin ng kalihim sa public transport operators na tiyaking ligtas at maayos na na-disinfect ang kanilang mga sasakyan.

“Alalahanin po ninyo na kayo ang kapitan ng inyong mga minamanehong sasakyan. Kalakip nyan ang responsibilidad na protektahan ang buhay, kaligtasan at kalusugan ng inyong mga pasahero,” ani Tugade.

Hinikayat din nito ang mga commuter na maging mapagmatyag laban sa mga lumalabag sa health protocols.

“We need everyone’s cooperation. We cannot do this alone. Sa mga pasahero, drayber, at operator, magtulungan po tayong lahat. Maging responsable tayo at maging disiplinado,” saad nito.
