Pumanaw na si Veteran constitutionalist Father Joaquin Bernas sa edad na 88.
Ayon sa Facebook post ni Jose Maria Hofileña, dean ng Ateneo Law School, pumanaw si Father Bernas, kaninang umaga, Marso 6.
Hindi naman tinukoy ni Hofileña ang sanhi ng pagpanaw ni Father Bernas.
“The Ateneo Law School community mourns the passing of its Dean Emeritus, Fr. Joaquin G. Bernas, S.J. in the early morning of March 6, 2021. We take solace in the knowledge that his was an earthly life filled with meaning and purpose. An earthly life dedicated to service, to standards of excellence, to the greater glory of God. Indeed, a man, an excellent man, for others,” pahayag ni Hofileña.
Naging kilala si Father Bernas dahil sa pagbalangkas sa 1987 Philippine Constitution.
