P160 milyong halaga ng mga taklobo, nakumpiska ng PCG

Nakumpiska ng Philippine Coast Guard ang may P160 milyong halaga ng mga endangered giant clam shells sa Roxas, Palawan.

Ayon sa pahayag ng PCG, nagsagawa ng operasyon ang kanilang hanay sa Barangay VI, Johnson Island.

Aabot sa 324 na piraso ang mga clams at tumitimbang ng 80 tonelada.

Paalala ng PCG, ipinagbabawal sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 10654 o The Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998 ang pagkuha ng mga giant clams o taklobo.

Tatlong milyong piso ang multa at pagkabilanggo ng walong taon ang naghihintay na parusa.
