Pangulong Duterte nagpasalamat sa mga nag-donate ng AstraZeneca
Taos pusong pasasalamat ang ipinaabot ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga bansang nagbigay ng donasyon para sa 487,200 doses na Covid 19 vaccine ng AstraZeneca.
Personal na sinalubong kahapon ni Pangulong Duterte ang pagdating ng mga bakuna sa Villamor Airbase sa Pasay City.
Ayon sa Pangulo, patunay ito na inaalala ng mga mayayamang bansa ang mahihirap na bansa gaya ng Pilipinas.
Nag-ambagan ang mga bansang Germany, Norway, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, Greece at Australia ang mga bakunang ibinigay sa PIlipinas.
“I don’t know how to express my gratitude to the donor countries that you remembered the poor nations is in fact already a plus for humanity. And in behalf of the Republic of the Philippines and of the people and all, I’d like to say again that we felt the gratitude in our hearts and may God bless you for your benevolence,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Dahil may bakuna na ang Pilipinas, hinihimok ng Pangulo ang publiko na huwag nang mag-alinlangan na magpabakuna.
Una nang dumating sa bansa ang 600,000 doses ng bakuna ng Sinovac na galing China.
“I also assure the Filipino people that your government will continue working to ensure the immediate distribution of the available vaccines to our communities. On this note, I would like to appeal to all our kababayans: Please get vaccinated against COVID-19 and be the government’s partner in preventing further spread of the disease. I encourage you to get vaccinated at the soonest possible time. These vaccines are safe, and they are the key to reopening our society. Let us continue observing and practicing health and safety protocols while waiting for more COVID-19 vaccines to reach the Philippines,”pahayag ng Pangulo.
Aminado ang Pangulo na hindi pa tapos ang boksing sa Covid 19. Pero dahil sa pagdating ng mga bakuna, unti-unti na aniyang nagkakaroon ng liwanag ang kinabukasan.
“We may not be out of the woods yet — but we are making progress and the end is in sight.And with your cooperation, we will overcome this pandemic and ensure the health and safety of everyone,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Sinabi na rin ng World Health Organization na may 4.5 million doses ng AstraZeneca na makukuha ang Pilipinas sa katapusan ng Mayo.
