Tiniyak ng Phivolcs na walang banta ng tsunami sa Pilipinas matapos tumama ang magnitude 7.3 na lindol sa New Zealand, Huwebes ng gabi.
Naramdaman ang pagyanig sa Silangang bahagi ng North Island New Zealand.
Sinabi ng ahensya na yumanig ang malakas na lindol sa nasabing lugar dakong 9:27 ng gabi.
May lalim ang lindol na 10 kilometers.
“Hazardous tsunami waves are possible for coasts located within 300 kilometers of the earthquake epicenter,” saad ng Phivolcs.
Wala namang napaulat na agarang pinsala sa naturang bansa.
