Flood control project sa Echague, Isabela higit 50 porsyento nang tapos
Tuluy-tuloy ang pagsasagawa ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa flood control structure sa Barangay Annafunan section ng Cagayan River sa Echague, Isabela.
Sa ulat kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, sinabi ni DPWH Isabela 4th District Engineering Office (DEO) OIC-District Engineer Jocelyn Palaeg na mahigit 50 porsyento na accomplishment rate ng proyekto.
Sinabi naman ng kalihim na kasama sa proyekto ang konstruksyon ng 444 linear meter gabion type flood control structure.
Inaasahang makatutulong ito upang maiwasang makaranas ng pagbaha tuwing panahon ng tag-ulan at matiyak ang kaligtasan ng libu-libong residente ng Annafunan.
Oras na makumpleto, mabibigyang proteksyon ng istraktura ang mga ari-arian at kabuhayan. Mababawasan din ang pagguho ng lupa.
Naglaan ng kagawaran ng P63 milyon para sa naturang proyekto sa ilalim ng 2020 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
