Nahanap na ang lugar kung saan inilibing ang apat na Filipino oil workers na na-kidnap at pinatay ng Islamic State (ISIS) extremists anim na taon na ang nakakaraan, ayon sa Philippine Embassy sa Tripoli.

Sa kaniyang tweet, sinabi ni Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Elmer Cato na katuwang ang Libyan authorities, nakumpirmang inilibing ang mga labi ng apat na Pinoy kasama ang kanilang dalawang European co-workers sa isang sementeryo sa Derna.

“We promised their families we would find them and we did,” pahayag nito.

Dagdag pa ni Cato, “Now their families in the Philippines can find closure.”

Noong March 6, 2015, na-kidnap at pinatay ng ISIS extremists ang anim na oil workers, kabilang ang apat na Pinoy, sa Ghani Oil Field sa southern Libya.
