Naaresto ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang isang puganteng Koreano na sangkot umano sa swindling at defrauding.
Batay sa ulat ni BI Fugitive Search Unit Chief Bobby Raquepo, nahuli si Lee Beomseok, 42-anyos, sa loob ng isang restaurant sa Angeles City, Pampanga.
Ayon kay Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, inilabas ang mission order para sa pag-aresto kay Lee matapos ipagbigay-alam ng South Korean authorities na nahaharap ang dayuhan sa criminal investigation dahil sa fraud.
Mayroon ding inilabas na Interpol blue notice laban kay Lee noong March 2020 at isa nang undocumented alien ang dayuhan makaraang bawiin ng Korean government ang pasaporte nito.
Sa ngayon, nananatili si Lee sa kustodiya ng BI detention facility sa Bicutan, Taguig habang hinihintay ang deportation nito.
“He will be placed in the immigration blacklist and banned from re-entering the Philippines,” pahayag ni Morente.
