Kinumpirma ng Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Mindanao Command ang pagdukot sa anim na sibilyan sa Butig, Lanao del Sur.
Ayon kay Major Felimon Tan, ang tagapagsalita ng AFP Westmincom, ang mga dinukot ay pawang manggagawa sa isang saw mill sa Barangay Sandab.
Aniya hinihinala na mga miyembro ng local terrorist group na Maute brothers ang dumukot sa mga biktima.
Iginiit ni Tan na nakikipagtulungan sila sa Philippine National Police (PNP) sa pag iimbestiga sa insidente.
Dagdag pa ni Tan, inaalam na nila ang motibo sa pangyayari.
