Mga Pinoy sa Amerika, pinag-iingat sa anti-Asian attacks
Binalaan ng embahada ng Pilipinas sa America ang mga Fililpino na patuloy na mag-ingat dahil sa tumataas na kaso ng mga pag-atake laban sa mga Asian Americans.
“We note with concern the rise in attacks on Asian Americans in various parts of the United States,” bahagi ng pahayag ng embahada ng Pilipinas.
“Filipinos are advised to exercise utmost caution in view of these incidents,” dagdag ng statement.
Bagama’t kinikilala ng embahada ng Pilipinas ang mabilis na pag-aksyon at pagbibigay proteksyon sa bawat isa, mas makabubuti na mag-ingat pa rin ang mga Filipino sa Amerika.
“The Philippine Embassy and Consulates General in the United States appreciate the swift action taken by a number of local authorities to apprehend perpetrators of these attacks. However, we call on federal, state, and local authorities to further ensure the protection of persons of Asian descent, including Filipinos,” pahayag ng embahada,
Nabatid na umabot na sa 2,100 na karahasan ang naitala sa mga Asians mula Marso hanggang Hunyo noong 2020.
