Bagong isolation facility sa Negros Occidental, nai-turnover na ng DPWH
Nai-turnover na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang bagong tayong isolation at quarantine facility sa pamahalaang lokal ng Kabankalan sa Negros Occidental.
Kasunod pa rin ito ng suporta ng kagawaran sa gitna ng laban kontra COVID-19.
Ayon kay DPWH Secretary at Chief Isolation Czar Mark Villar, itinayo ang bagong healthcare facility sa 348 square meters na lote sa Kabankalan City Hospital sa bahagi ng Barangay Tabugon sa pamamagitan ng implementasyon ng DPWH Negros Occidental 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO), na suportado ng FY 2020 Special Purpose Fund ng DPWH Regional Office 6 (DPWH-RO6).
Aabot sa P12.5 milyon ang halaga ng bagong pasilidad.
Ito ay isang 16-room container van building, na may kanya-kanyang air conditioning unit at comfort room para sa mga pasyente; hiwalay na quarters para sa mga lalaki at babaeng nurse na may dalawang double-deck beds, air conditioning unit, at comfort room; nurse station; utility room; generator/power transformer; at water tanks.
“This quarantine facility will serve as temporary shelter for the treatment of COVID-19 related cases as well as provide shelter for Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) in Kabankalan City, who are returning to the city and nearby places, who need to undergo the mandatory quarantine protocol,” pahayag ni DPWH-RO6 Director Lea Delfinado.
Tiniyak naman ni Villar na patuloy ang DPWH sa pagtupad ng kanilang tungkulin para sa COVID-19 patients at medical workers.
