Napauwing overseas Filipinos sa bansa, higit 364,000 na – DFA

Tuluy-tuloy pa rin ang repatriation efforts ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa gitna ng pandemya dahil sa COVID-19.

Sa huling tala hanggang February 7, 2021, umabot sa 364,010 overseas Filipinos ang napauwi sa repatriation efforts ng kagawaran.

Sa nasabing bilang, 99,869 ang seafarers habang 260,108 naman ang land-based overseas Filipinos.

Sa nagdaang linggo, 4,033 overseas Filipinos ang nakabalik ng Pilipinas.

Kabilang dito ang medical repatriates mula sa Amerika, Oman at Bahrain.

May napauwi ring abandoned seafarers mula sa United Arab Emirates (UAE) at undocumented OF sa Austria, China at Cyprus.

Siniguro ng kagawaran na tuloy pa rin ang kanilang pagtulong sa mga Filipino na stranded sa ibang bansa dahil sa COVID-19 travel restrictions.
