Court freeze order sa ari-arian ng drug group sa Cebu City isinilbi ng PDEA, AMLC

Ipinatupad na ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), katuwang ang Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), ang inilabas na freeze order na inilabas ng Court of Appeals sa isang bahay sa Cebu City na sinasabing pag-aari ng mag-asawang konektado sa Kuratong Baleleng Drug Group.

Ang may-ari ng bahay sa Barangay Guadalupe ay ang mag-asawang Artemio at Daisy Salas, kapwa may warrant of arrest.

“Why are we doing this? The number one goal of drug syndicates is to earn money. We are just completing our job. By freezing their properties, these drug personalities will no longer be able to use their assets earned from illegal drug transactions to further run their operations … Gisahon nato sila sa ilang sariling mantika,” sabi ni PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva.

Bukod sa dalawang palapag na bahay na nagkakahalaga ng P5 milyon, may ari-arian rin ang mag-asawa sa Ozamis City at Maasin, Southern Leyte.

Marami rin silang bank accounts na naglalaman ng malalaking halaga at maging ang mga ito ay saklaw ng ‘freeze order.’

Sinabi pa ni Villanueva na ang susunod nilang hakbang ay kumpiskahin ang mga ari-arian.
