P878-M halaga ng direct cash subsidy, naibigay sa 75,000 operators sa bansa

Umabot na sa P878.9 milyon ang kabuuang halaga ng naibigay na ayuda sa ilalim ng Direct Cash Subsidy Program ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) mula November 16, 2020 hanggang February 12, 2021.

Kasama rito ang 75,000 PUV operators na may 135,000 units.

Ayon sa LTFRB, 86.58 porsyento ito ng kabuuang pondo na inilaan sa mga benepisyaryo.

Sa naturang programa, tatanggap ang bawat operator ng P6,500 na cash subsidy para sa bawat isang unit na nasa ilalim ng kanilang prangkisa.

Target ng ahensya na mabigyan ng tulong pinansyal ang 178,000 PUV units.

Benepisyaryo ng direct cash subsidy ang mga operator ng mga sumusunod na PUV na may nakatakdang ruta:
– Public Utility Bus (PUB)
– Point-to-Point Bus (P2P)
– Public Utility Jeepney (PUJ)
– Mini-Bus;
– UV Express
– FilCab
