Pangulong Duterte kinakabahan kung maging pangulo si Robredo
Kinakabahan si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kung saka-sakaling manalong pangulo ng bansa si Vice President Leni Robredo sa 2022 presidential elections.
Ayon sa Pangulo, hindi kasi alam ni Robredo ang papel sa gobyerno.
Partikular na pinupuntirya ng Pangulo ang pahayag ni Robredo na mistulang extortion ang ginawa ng punong ehekutibo nang sabihing kinakailangan na magbayad ang Amerika kung nais nitong mapanatili ang Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA).
Kung saka-sakali man aniyang manalong pangulo ng bansa si Robredo, payo ng punong ehekutibo, mag-aral pa.
“Kinakabahan ako if by chance ma-presidente ka. Medyo… Ako, basta pagka retired na ako diyan kung ma-presidente ka. I said if by unfortune — unfortunate chance you become the president, please study more. I think that you — you need a refresher course sa law,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
“Every time she opens her mouth, she forgets that she is a lawyer. Being a lawyer, she should know that the Constitution says that that is my function. It is not their function. Whatever I want to say for the sake of the country, there’s a purpose for it,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Bukod kay Robredo, binatikos din ng Pangulo si Senador Panfilo Lacson nang sabihing hindi extortionist ang Pilipinas.
“This Robredo is a lawyer. I can forgive Lacson because he’s not. They should look at the Constitution. The foreign policy is vested in the president alone,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
