Donasyon na COVID 19 vaccines, supplies dapat libre sa buwis ayon kay Sen. Sonny Angara

Naghain ng panukala si Senator Sonnny Angara para malibre na sa buwis ang mga donasyon na bakuna at iba pang suplay na kakailanganin para sa COVID 19 vaccination plan ng gobyerno.

Katuwiran ni Angara kapag hindi na siningil ang Donor’s Tax maaring maraming mahikayat na magbigay ng mga donasyon.

“The national government, local government units and the private sector are all in the thick of preparations for the arrival of the first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines. Many of these vaccines will be made available to the public through the generosity of donors. We want to encourage more of these donations by exempting these from the donor’s tax,” sabi ni Angara.

Aniya nagbigay na ng katulad na insentibo sa Bayanihan 1 at Bayanihan 2 bilang pagkilala sa matinding pangangailangan ng mga suplay para sa frontliners.

Bukod  sa COVID 19 vaccines, hindi na rin sisingilin ng Donor’s Tax ang mga capital equipment, spare parts at raw materials na kinakailangan para sa produksyon ng personal protective equipment components tulad ng coveralls, gowns, surgical masks, goggles at face shields.

Gayundin ang mga gamot para sa COVID 19 na aprubado ng Food and Drug Administration, maging ang donasyon para sa mga kagamitan para sa waste management, kasama na ang para sa  waste segregation, storage, collection, sorting, treatment at disposal services.

Magiging epektibo ang exemption hanggang December 31, 2023.
