P4.9-M halaga ng ecstacy, nasabat sa Maynila

Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA ang 2,878 tablets ng ecstasy o “party drugs” sa Maynila, araw ng Lunes.

Katuwang ng BOC sa ginawang controlled delivery operations ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG).

Naaresto ang claimant na si “Ron Ron Salonga” sa Manila Central Post Office bandang 12:00 ng tanghali.

Lumabas sa datos na idineklara ang shipment na naglalaman umano ng “2 Women Clothes, 1 Kids Clothes & 1 Shoes.”

Ipinadala ito ng isang “Mary Lumbao Edward” mula sa Netherlands at naka-consign sa isang residente ng Malate, Maynila.

Base sa profiling at examination ng NAIA Customs examiner at K-9 sweeping, nadiskubre ang 12 packs ng ecstasy tablets na berde at gold ang kulay sa loob ng kahon.

Lumabas sa chemical lab analysis ng PDEA na ecstasy nga ang mga nakitang tablet.

Aabot sa P4,892,600 ang kabuuang halaga ng nasamsam na ilegal na droga.

Sa ngayon, ang claimant at ilegal na droga ay nasa kustodiya ng PDEA.

Mahaharap ang suspek sa kasong paglabag sa Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (Republic Act 9165) na may kinalaman sa Sections 118 (Prohibited Importation), 1113 (Goods Liable for Seizure and Forfeiture) at 1401 (Unlawful Importation) ng Republic Act 10863, o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
