PCG magre-recruit ng 5,500 opisyal, tauhan sa 2021

Target ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) na makapag-recruit ng 5,500 officers at personnel sa taong 2021.

Inihayag ito ni Commandant Admiral George Ursabia Jr. sa signing ceremony ng contract of lease kasama ang Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) Corporation para sa 440,000-square meter facility sa Bagac, Bataan.

Ayon kay PCG Commandant Admiral George Ursabia Jr., kailangan nilang magsanay ng 4,000 tauhan habang humiling ang Bureau of Customs (BOC) ng dagdag na 1,500 Coast Guard personnel para sa kanilang operasyon sa 2021.

“Our challenge is the availability of sufficient facilities to train them. Hence, having PSALM that strongly supports our education and training is indeed an answered prayer,” pahayag ni Ursabia.

Kailangan din aniyang suportahan ng PCG ang iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno at mga lokal na pamahalaan sa pagkuha ng karagdagang training facilities hindi lamang sa Luzon, kundi maging sa Visayas ay Mindanao.

“We need the help of other agencies to meet the demands for the Coast Guard service. We need to produce professional Coast Guardians so they may be of service to the Motherland,” saad nito.
